Sam entered the South Australian Parliament as the Member for Davenport after a hotly contested by-election in January 2015.

He was born in Mildura, raised in Adelaide and Sam now lives in Blackwood.

A proud graduate of our state school system, Sam went on to study at the University of Adelaide for a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). Following his graduation he took up full time work with a leading accounting firm in South Australia. Subsequently Sam went on to be admitted as a member of CPA Australia and worked in commercial & business banking for one of Australia’s major banks.

Sam joined the Young Liberals while at university and has held various senior roles in the Liberal Party at both a state and federal level. The recognition of Sam’s leadership abilities culminated with Sam being elected by his peers as Young Liberal President.

Throughout his life Sam has been involved with various community organisations.

Coming from a large family with an strong attitude towards community service, Sam joined the St John Ambulance Cadets at a young age and was once SA’s Cadet Leader of the Year.

Other organisations of which Sam is a part include, the Adelaide University Football Club ‘Blacks’, Lions Club and Neighbourhood Watch.

With the Mitcham Hills full of community spirit, Sam is proud to continue with lifelong associations as well as begin new ones in his new role as Member for Davenport.
