In January 2015, Sam was elected to the South Australian Parliament as the Member for Davenport. Since then, he has absolutely loved, and appreciated, the opportunity to serve the community.
Sam was born in Mildura and raised in Adelaide. He graduated from Marryatville High School, and studied at the University of Adelaide, completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) as well as becoming a member of CPA Australia.
Prior to entering Parliament, Sam worked for Pitcher Partners Chartered Accountants and the ANZ Banking Group. Sam held leadership roles in the Young Liberal Movement at both a State and Federal level, including serving as Young Liberal President.
As the Member for Davenport, Sam has developed strong working relationships with residents and community groups in his electorate. He is an active member of many community organisations including, Lions, Blackwood Recreation Centre and Blackwood RSL.
Following the 2018 South Australian Election, Sam was elected as the new member for Waite. He is the presiding member of the Economic and Finance Parliamentary Standing Committee as well as sitting on the Aboriginal Lands Parliamentary Standing Committee and the board of Reconciliation South Australia.
